Our preschool programs are designed to teach children how to be social, creative and ready to learn. This is achieved by:
Butterfly Class (2-3 years old)
10 Students (Ratio: 1 teacher to 5 students)
A child’s first care givers are so important in the early childhood years. Children’s attachment to adults at this age sets an important foundation for their ability to bond and trust people in the future. Mindful of this, social development and classroom participation are two important aspects of our early preschool program. Our hope is that your child’s very first school experience will be nurturing, wholesome and engaging – setting a healthy foundation for lifelong learning. After a few months, children quickly thrive in classroom routines – making room for deepening friendships and an introduction to letter recognition, writing, simple math and science.
Bumblebee Class (3-4 years old)
10 Students (Ratio: 1 teacher to 5 students)
In this class, students work on pre-literacy skills (letter of the week, phonological awareness, rhyming, tracing), pre-math skills (counting beyond 10, patterns and puzzles, categorizing), emotional awareness and regulation (learning to identify and manage emotions), social awareness (communication, sharing, taking turns, and working together as a team). The main goal is to develop a love for learning and a deep curiosity about the world around them and develop confidence in who they are.
Firefly Class (Pre TK: 3.5-4.5 years old) + Dragonfly Class (Pre K: 4-5 years old)
10 Students (Ratio: 1 teacher to 5 students)
These classes promote TK/Kindergarten readiness through pre-math & pre-literacy skills such as counting, number & pattern recognition, making comparisons/predictions, sorting & categorizing, 1:1 correspondence, alphabet & print recognition, phonological awareness, expanding vocabulary, and narration skills, learning to ask questions. Children will learn Executive Functioning skills such as maintaining focus, encouraging impulse control, developing working memory, building mental flexibility, assessing risk/reward in decision-making, and abiding by classroom rules. Children will develop social-emotional independence by understanding fairness, initiating turn-taking, building empathy-based bonds, negotiating & compromising with peers, emotional expressivity and competence, cultivating a classroom culture of patience and understanding, respecting each other’s differences and uniqueness.
